Transfer of Academic Credit

The University of Connecticut is a fully accredited institution on the semester system. If you are a student from another college or university, you may transfer credits earned at the University of Connecticut back to your home institution for use in a degree program.

• The determination of the transferability of any credits is not a University of Connecticut decision; it is a decision made by the college or university in which you are regularly enrolled and seeking a degree.
• While a student from another college may enroll at the University of Connecticut for May Term or Summer Sessions courses without special permission, you are advised to obtain advance permission from your home school to transfer University of Connecticut credits back for use in a degree program.
