Certificate in General Insurance (INS)
The three courses for the certificate in General Insurance cover, in depth, the fundamentals of insurance principles, practices and policies and provide a broad foundation upon which to build an insurance career. Insurance professionals in either technical, support, supervisory or managerial roles will benefit from this INS certificate program. All three courses must be completed to earn the certificate. [Completion of the INS program provides a waiver of one part of CPCU (either CPCU 553 or 557).]
Prelicensing Course for All Lines Casualty Claims Adjusters (ALC)
This is the preparatory class for the State of Connecticut All-Lines Casualty Claim Adjuster licensing exam. This course focuses on the various lines of casualty claims including workers compensation. The student becomes familiar with the various insurance policies, the rights and duties of policyholders and the insured, and the duties of the insurer in settling claims. The course covers the claim adjustment process, loss settlement principles and how the law affects a variety of claim situations.
