Collaborative Leadership in Homeland Security
--Free Training Course

Collaborative Leadership in Homeland Security presents innovative ideas, cutting-edge concepts and creative leadership solutions for today's homeland security executives. The goal of the Collaborative Leadership in Homeland Security course is to equip homeland security leaders with requisite critical thinking skills and collaborative leadership abilities in order to make effective strategic planning and management decisions on issues. 

group meetingThe Collaborative Leadership in Homeland Security program is for mid to upper level managers and will be delivered nationwide beginning in 2009.  The level of this online and face to face program is geared towards State and Local decision makers, tribal nations, emergency managers and planners, first responders and law enforcement. Our training is designed primarily to serve the needs of state and local HS leaders, but will be open to private/faith based/NGO and federal agency applicants 2 weeks before the advertised application date, if space remains. The scheduling and location of the classes will be determined by participant demand and coordinated with FEMA and the state’s homeland security administrative agencies.

This free training is structured as a 5 week program: 4 weeks online, 1 week face-to-face. Attendees will receive a certificate, conferred by the University of Connecticut, after successful completion of the program.
