UConn offers choices for those wanting to complete an undergraduate degree:
Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) Degree Completion Program
UConn's Bachelor of General Studies (BGS) Degree is a customized, interdisciplinary degree for adult students who have an Associate’s Degree or have earned 60 college credits. Students receive individualized academic advising and a broad educational experience with coursework from a variety of academic disciplines.
Traditional Degrees
Transferring from another college or university to a traditional UConn degree program is often the choice of returning adult students who are looking for a more focused degree.
Students who previously attended UConn, and either received an undergraduate degree and would like another, or did not complete their degree for a variety of reasons, can apply for readmission.
If you are considering choosing UConn to complete your Bachelor’s degree, but would like to test the waters first, you can take an
individual credit class without formal admission to UConn.
Academic advisors are available at all UConn locations to help you determine the right choice for your life.
