Tommie Mobbs provides human capital consultation based on rigorous scientific research, focusing on organizational issues such as staffing for organizational change (including mergers and acquisitions). Mobbs' experience also includes working as a research associate for Auburn University at Montgomery's Center for Business and Economic Development. His consulting experiences there included job analysis, personnel selection, test development and validation, job classification, and program evaluation. He is actively involved in research involving employee selection and organizational ethics. He has presented papers and speeches to professional associations including the American Psychological Society and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. In addition, Mobbs has authored or coauthored articles in magazines and journals such as Human Resource Management Review, The Journal of Vocational Behavior, and Oklahoma Business Bulletin, as well as LIMRA publications, including Assessment Solutions, Connections, and Recruit!. Mobbs earned his Ph.D. in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Oklahoma. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP). This course provides a comprehensive overview of the human factors and behavior that have an impact upon the safety performance of employees in the workplace.
