Patrick Obeng-Asiedu |
Dr. Patrick Obeng-Asiedu is a Program Coordinator for the Global Training and Development Institute at the Center for Continuing Studies (CSS) at the University of Connecticut. He has over twelve years experience as a researcher, lecturer and consultant, focusing on economic and environmental issues in developing countries. Patrick earned his Ph.D. in Development Economics from the University of Bonn in Germany, focusing his research on the Optimization/Economics of Water Allocation. Prior to joining CCS, Patrick was a Research Associate at UConn's Office of International Affairs and also an Adjunct Faculty of Economics and Statistics at the Eastern Connecticut State University. He has taught courses in Consumer Economics, Intermediate Micro & Macroeconomics at Ghana's Central University College. Dr. Obeng-Asiedu is an active member of the Agricultural & Applied Economics Association and has written numerous articles and papers on economics and the environment. His research interests focus on the use of the computable general equilibrium (CGE) framework to determine the effects of policy variables on sustainable development; and on river basin management models. |
