Student Parking and Transportation

AVERY POINT
- A parking decal is required of all students taking classes
at the Avery Point campus. Decal available at the Avery Point Campus Police Station.
- The parking fee for the campus is $40 for the year. Students pay the $40 fee when they register in the fall. If they do not return in the spring, a refund of $20 may be requested. New students registering for the spring semester will be charged $20. Non-degree students pay parking fees at the time of registration.
- Students must park in the designated student parking areas.
Those who park elsewhere will receive parking tickets from
the City of Groton.
HARTFORD
- A parking decal and car registration are required for all
students attending classes at the Hartford campus. Decal available at the Undergraduate Building, Main Office, Rm. 102.
- The parking fee for the campus is $40 for the year.
Students pay the $40 fee when they register in the fall. If they do not return in the spring, a refund of $20 may be requested. New students registering for the spring semester will be charged $20. Non-degree students pay parking fees at the time of registration.
- At the Hartford campus, student parking is available in
the lot located on Trout Brook Drive. Strict adherence to designated
parking areas will be enforced. Cars parked in unauthorized
spaces will be ticketed and/or towed and drivers will be fined.
STAMFORD
- A parking decal is required of students who will be driving
to and parking at the Stamford campus. The parking garage is
located adjacent to the campus on Washington Boulevard.
- The parking fee for the campus is $40 for the year. Students pay the $40 fee when they register in the fall. If they do not return in the spring, a refund of $20 may be requested. New students registering for the spring semester will be charged $20. Non-degree students pay parking fees at the time of registration.
- Students must park in areas designated “Student Parking” and
have valid parking stickers which can be obtained from the
Campus Security Office, third floor, parking garage. Violators
will be ticketed.

- Bus stops are convenient to the campus and
the Stamford Metronorth Station is within walking distance
or a short bus or taxi ride. For schedule information, please
check the CT Transit or Metronorth sites.
STORRS
- Parking permits and information are available at the Parking
Services Office, 3 North Hillside Road, Storrs, CT 06269, Monday
through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Students registering for classes held after 4:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday, are not required to purchase a parking decal
for their vehicles. They may park in any legal space on campus
as long as it is not reserved or restricted (i.e., reserved,
fire lane, handicapped space, etc.).
- Fees for all other commuter students will be $80 per year
and they are allowed to park in any commuter parking lot. There
will be a limited number of commuter permits also offered for the North
and South Garages at a fee of $300 per year. When there are
large events at Gampel Pavilion, South Garage permit holders
will be allowed to use the North Garage during events. Illegally
parked vehicles are subject to ticketing and/or towing.
- University Shuttle Buses operate from 6:40 a.m. until 12:00
a.m., Monday through Thursday, and 6:40 a.m. through 10:00
p.m. on Fridays. Service is reduced at 6:00 p.m. All parking
lots do still have services until 12:00 a.m., Monday through
Thursday, and until 10:00 p.m. on Friday. Buses pass each stop
approximately every 15 minutes.

TORRINGTON
- Parking stickers are available in the Business Office.
- The parking fee for the campus is $40 for the year. Students pay the $40 fee when they register in the fall. If they do not return in the spring, a refund of $20 may be requested. New students registering for the spring semester will be charged $20. Non-degree students pay parking fees at the time of registration.
- A large, well-lighted lot is available, along with extensive
parking for the handicapped and other facilities.

WATERBURY
- Parking in the garage attached to the UConn building is
allowed with a decal. Decal available at the Student Services Suite or Information Desk.

New students registering for the spring semester will be charged $20. Non-degree students pay parking fees at the time of registration.
