RegistrationMatriculated StudentsAll University of Connecticut MPS degree students self register online through PeopleSoft, the University’s Student Administration System. As a MPS student, you may register for courses year round via this system, as well as perform many other academic functions. Registration for Spring 2009 classes begins October 27, 2008. Using the PeopleSoft System
Your MPS advisor will be available to assist, should you have any questions or concerns. Non-degree Students (Non-matriculated students) UConn's online credit courses are available on a non-degree basis for graduate credit. Non-degree status is for those who are not matriculated UConn students. This is especially true if you have applied for admission to the Master of Professional Studies degree program, but have not yet been officially admitted, you may register for a course as a non-degree student. Please consult with your faculty advisor prior to registering to ensure that the course will apply towards your degree. However, the Master of Professional Studies with a field of study in Homeland Security Leadership, is a cohort-based program. These classes are only open to students who are matriculated in the homeland security field of study. [At the present time, the MPS/HSL courses are not open to non-degree students.] Registration for non-degree/visiting students begins here. When registering, you will need to give the class number and section number for the course, along with the department and course numbers. This information is available from the Schedule of Online Courses. All our online courses carry 3 credits unless otherwise indicated. Course numbers 5000 and above represent graduate level courses. Please Note: We also encourage you to register early for an online course since many of our online courses fill early and you will need to purchase your textbook(s) in advance. If you are a new student at UConn, it takes several days for the University to issue you an ID which gives you access to the course. Spring Course Dates |
