Prospective Students

If you would just like to take a course without committing to a degree program, you may register as a non-degree student.

If you have applied for admission to the MPS degree program, but have not yet been officially admitted, you may also register for a course as a non-degree student. In order for credits earned as a Non-Degree student (limited to no more than 6) to be transferred into a MPS degree program, you must receive a B (not a B-) or better, as stated on page 28 of the 2009-2010 Graduate Catalog.

Note: The Master of Professional Studies with a field of study in Homeland Security Leadership is a cohort-based program. The courses are only open to students who are matriculated in the homeland security field of study. At the present time, the MPS/HSL courses are not open to Non-degree students.

Please consult with your faculty advisor prior to registering to ensure that the course will apply towards your degree.
