Mark E. Sullivan, Associate Professor
Mark E. Sullivan, Director and Associate Professor, has led the University of Connecticut Labor Education Center for the past decade. Dr. Sullivan, an adult educator has more than twenty-five years of experience developing and presenting a wide range of academic programming designed for the adult learner. The areas he has dedicated his career to include contextually based workplace literacy, current labor issues and dispute resolution. His extensive experience in the development of dispute resolution programming led to a specialization in alternative dispute resolution, specifically mediation.
Dr. Sullivan is the coordinator of the UConn's Mediation Certificate Program. This highly interactive forty-hour program is specifically designed to introduce professionals to the qualities and skills needed to become successful practicing mediators. In addition he also has a program that addresses the challenges faced by advocates employing mediation with the goal of making that dispute resolution process work as designed.
A graduate of Providence College, Rutgers University and the University of Connecticut, Dr. Sullivan is a frequent lecturer on current labor issues and dispute resolution. |
