Weekly Arts Workshops (for grades 5-11)
In Arts Explorers, students entering grades 1-6 work with artists to create paintings, drawings, sculptures and more. Students explore their natural curiosity through hands-on activities, workshops and exercises, developing self esteem, skills, and creativity. Family and friends are invited to an informal show at 4:00 p.m. on the final day.
Children learn from working artists who are experienced in arts education. Small classes afford an imaginative, playful, and nurturing experience. Children are supervised at all times, and a snack break is offered between classes. Bring a bag lunch with healthy snacks and bring art- and outdoor-appropriate attire and wear sunscreen.
Half-day sessions are from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon or from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Full-day sessions are from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Early drop off and late pick up are available free of charge, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
