Application Information for International Students


Note: All applicants must satisfy the Minimum English Language Requirement.

1.  An interview with a BGS Advisor is required before an application can be processed. Please complete and submit the following materials as outlined below. All application materials should be returned to the BGS Office at the campus you wish to attend.

2.  Based on your visa situation, submit the forms below:

  • All Applicants must complete and submit
  • If you have a sponsor also complete and submit  

Note: You must have an approved I-20 from UConn before you send a change of status application to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

3.  All Applicants must also submit copies of:

  • Current Passport ID page
  • Visa Stamp
  • I-94 Card (front & back)

4.  Once all documents are completed, please submit them to the BGS Office at the campus you wish to attend. You will be assigned a BGS counselor who will review your application materials with you.

Note: The issuance of an I-20 is contingent upon your acceptance into the Center for Continuing Studies, Bachelor of General Studies Program.
