Focus in Cities and Community Life

The BGS focus in Cities and Community Life educates students on the multiple dimensions of urban and community life. The interdisciplinary focus enables students to better understand the challenges and opportunities of urban life from the local to the global level, and to participate in strengthening the institutional and social fabric of communities.  Students receive training in the knowledge and methods of the social sciences and may complete pre-professional courses and capstone projects. This focus is available at the Tri-Campus (Hartford, Torrington, Waterbury).
